This Month at Jenni’s Embrace: Small Steps Still Count

A Question Worth Asking

Why do I feel behind even when I am working hard?

Feeling behind does not always mean you are failing. Sometimes it means you are comparing your current capacity to someone else’s progress or placing unrealistic expectations on yourself. Before asking, “Why haven’t I done more?” try asking, “What have I already carried?”

For the Associate-Level Therapist

You do not have to know everything to become an effective clinician. Supervision is not a sign that you are unprepared; it is part of developing professional judgment. Bring your questions, acknowledge your limits, and remember that confidence grows through practice.

Faith Into Action

Faith is not always demonstrated through dramatic decisions. Sometimes it looks like taking the next responsible step, even when the entire path is unclear. This week, identify one action that reflects what you believe: making the appointment, submitting the application, setting the boundary, or asking for support.

Mental Wellness Moment

Pause where you are. Lower your shoulders, relax your jaw, and take one slow breath. Notice what your body may be carrying. Wellness does not always require an hour or a perfect routine; sometimes it begins with a single intentional minute.

Mental Health Insight

Your feelings matter, but they do not always tell the whole story. Two things can be true: you can feel uncertain and still be capable. You can need rest and still be committed. Making room for both truths can help you respond with greater clarity and se

lf-compassion.

Coaching Corner

Awareness is valuable, but change also requires action. Coaching helps you clarify your goals, identify obstacles, and create practical next steps. Whether you are building your professional identity or putting your faith into action, progress begins when insight becomes intentional movement.

Your Next Step

Ask yourself: What is one small action I can take this week that honors both my goals and my current capacity?
